Rochester police scuba dive teams again searched around the base of the High Falls Thursday for a 5-year-old boy who disappeared into the Genesee River on June 1.

Police say Zy-Jae St. Pierre, 5, accidentally fell over an Andrews Street bridge railing into the water.

Rochester Gas & Electric reduced water flow over the falls again this week to help divers during the search.

The RPD and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office divers spent three hours diving in the High Falls Basin and searching the bottom of the river on Thursday. RPD drones also searched the coastline along the river.

Extensive search and recovery efforts for Zy-Jae have been ongoing since his disappearance, without results.
