Visitation resumes this weekend at most corrections facilities across New York state.

The lone exception is Upstate Correctional Facility in Franklin County. Officials say that facility will remain closed until further notice.

Visits are only returning for weekends and officials say they will follow normal weekend visitation rules.

However, the length of visits may be capped due to the amount of visitors that are expected.

Visitation was canceled last month at all facilities statewide amidst the correction officer strike, which saw thousands of prison guards across the state walk off the job as they demanded better work conditions.
