The city of Rochester now has its own official edition of the iconic Monopoly board game.
The game was unveiled Tuesday at the Strong National Museum of Play.
This is the only licensed version in New York and will be available for purchase both locally and nationally.
"When we make these editions, our goal is to find towns and cities that have a ton of local pride and we found that Rochester has that in spades," said John Marano, sales executive for Top Trumps. "Everybody that I talked to here talked about how much they loved being from here. So this is truly an edition that's made by Rochester, for Rochester."
The original Atlantic City squares are replaced with Rochester cultural sites and historic landmarks, including the Frederick Douglass–Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge, the George Eastman House and even the garbage plate.
Other Rochester businesses and universities are also represented.
