Feedmore WNY has launched a new donation campaign centered around one of their most requested items — peanut butter.
Through its Spread the Love Peanut Butter Drive throughout February, Feedmore WNY has a goal of collecting 10,000 pounds of peanut butter.
“Peanut butter is an incredibly valuable food donation. It is shelf stable, packed with protein and a fan favorite for all ages,” Feedmore WNY's Community Engagement and Events Specialist Betsy Campbell said. “We are always in need of donations of peanut butter to help stock the shelves of our partner food pantries and fill the bags of food distributed to children in our BackPack Program, which is why the annual Spread the Love Drive is so important. We welcome all varieties — creamy, crunchy, a peanut butter-jelly combination, and even other nut butters or nut alternatives are greatly appreciated! All donations will help us reach our goal of 10,000 pounds to help alleviate food insecurity in Western New York.”
Community members may drop off donations at FeedMore WNY’s warehouse from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. You can also donate peanut butter online through https://yougivegoods.com/peanutbutter2025.
“Donations of peanut butter always are highly desired and greatly appreciated here at FeedMore WNY. Not only is peanut butter packed with protein, but it is shelf stable and beloved by children and adults alike,” Campbell said. “We frequently distribute peanut butter to our partner food pantries and hunger-relief agencies throughout our four-county service area, and it is a staple menu item for our BackPack Program serving children in need.”
