A uniquely Rochester tradition is continuing this election year.

After casting their ballots, many voters are heading over to Mount Hope Cemetery to place their "I Voted" stickers on the headstone of women's rights icon Susan B. Anthony.

In 2020, the city began placing plexiglass covers on the markers for Anthony and her sister Mary to protect the marble.

With a chance to elect the first woman president of the U.S. in Kamala Harris, the city is expecting thousands of voters to go and pay their respects. Officials say they will share parking information for anyone planning to go to the gravesite on Election Day.

Early voting in Monroe County continues to draw high turnout.

The county is seeing more ballots cast than during the 2020 presidential election early voting period.

In just four days, the Monroe County Board of Elections says more than 62,000 people have voted already. So far Monday saw the most voters, but all four days have seen high turnout.

There are 17 total polling locations in Monroe County open until 5 p.m. for residents to get their votes in ahead of Election Day next Tuesday. Sunday is the last day of early voting.
