Monroe County is celebrating the completion of some upgrades at Innovative Field.

Those include renovations to the home player's clubhouse and an expansion of the stadium's kitchen.

Additional projects are also underway, such as the construction of a new workout facility and batting practice building.

“The Red Wings are extremely grateful to County Executive Bello, Governor Hochul, and the New York State Legislature for the improvements that have been made here at Innovative Field,” Rochester Red Wings CEO/COO Naomi Silver said in a statement. “When Major League Baseball announced certain required upgrades to players’ facilities across the country, our County Executive and New York State stepped up to make that happen, and as our facility is aging, they have responded to its increasing needs. The leadership shown proves the commitment of local and State government to our community and we, and our fans, are very thankful.” “

The improvements are part of an ongoing multi-year $26 million effort to meant to improve fan experience and ensure ballpark meets new requirements set by Major League Baseball.
