In the wake of celebration for many after a football game Sunday in Miami, tragedy struck after police say a man was shot and killed near Hard Rock Stadium.

Now, Bills Mafia is hoping to help the family of the late Dylan Isaacs.

"This world is tough," said Susan Isaacs, a grieving mother of Indigenous descent who lives in Six Nations, Ontario in Canada. "Those weapons are evil and that's one thing our people have buried long time ago."

She got the harrowing news over the weekend.

"His best friend called me," she recalled. "He told me Dylan was shot and that he didn't make it. He died."

The investigation continues into exactly what happened that night in Isaacs’ death, but as that process is full of pain and waiting, Bills Mafia is once again stepping up.

More than $78,000 Canadian has been raised to help surviving family and to bring Dylan home to Ontario. Beyond the Mafia, Buffalo Bandits star Tehoka Nanticoke is also spreading the word.

"This is so overwhelming for us and we're so grateful. There [are] so many warm hearts," said Susan. "It's a shame that it's a big price that we're paying. There's no price that can replace my son. And I want to keep his memory alive in every way I can."

It's too early to tell exactly what that will look like, but Susan will be moving forward with a growing community behind her.

"I pray this person turns [themself] in. It's the right thing to do. And [they] begin [their] healing as well as we do," she added. "I know the hard days are to come when I’m alone, and everything is just — I'm so grateful. I want to say ... thank you to everyone."

The local Crime Stoppers chapter in Florida is hoping a $5,000 reward helps get information on Isaacs' death. Anyone who might have been in the area after the game can reach out to them or Miami Gardens Police.
