The opening day of Roc Holiday Village, in its fifth year, is one week away.

This year's event will feature more days, free activities, Igloo Inns and shopping. Also, for the first time since 2019, the ticketed Story Time event returns.

“Roc Holiday Village has become one of Downtown Rochester’s signature events and is an inclusive holiday destination for all,” Rochester Mayor Malik Evans said in a statement.

All of the holiday fun opens Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. and runs for 17 days until Dec. 23 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park in downtown Rochester.

On Dec. 2 at 5 p.m., the annual Liberty Pole Lighting takes place and includes a parade to Roc Holiday Village.
