Folk, rock, pop and blues, you'll hear it all this weekend at the Fairport Music Festival, which kicks off Friday.
It's going be rocking in Fairport all weekend for the 19th Fairport Music Festival. There will be three outdoor stages and lots happening indoors too.
More than 50 bands are scheduled to play.
Darryl Walczak and the music fest team and all the volunteers are ready to welcome thousands of people to the heart of Fairport along the canal and train tracks for what has become a huge live music fest that gives right back to the Golisano Children's Hospital.
“Through the first 18 years we’ve been fortunate enough to have raised $2.3 million that has gone to Golisano Children’s Hospital and we expect to have a nice turnout again this weekend and be able to write another substantial check for the needs over at the Children’s Hospital," said Walczak. "It is kind of a grassroots organization with just the idea of doing something good for people who need it. Andy McDermott always says this will be the 19th anniversary of a one-year music festival. This was supposed to be a one-time deal and here we are 19 years later and still going at it.”
Admission is $25 and includes live music Friday and Saturday. Sunday, the music continues at Iron Smoke Distillery.
