  • The 1993 Harley Davidson FXLR was donated to the raffle with proceeds going to the VOC

  • Raffle tickets are $50

The Veterans Outreach Center continues to celebrate 50th anniversary serving our local veterans. To keep all these free programs and services going, the VOC has 200 raffle tickets available to enter to win a 1993 FX Low Rider.

The motorcycle was generously donated by Kathy Shaw in loving memory of her husband, Doug, a U.S. Navy veteran. Raffle proceeds support services at the VOC that assisted 2,000 veterans last year.

“I’m sure that the bike held a lot of value for him and probably for her as well, so we are so appreciative that out of all of the options that she had for what to do with that like she chose to donate it to us so that someone else will get to enjoy it and that it will live on her husband’s memory. We are so grateful to her and I think it really speaks to the connections we try to build with our community members and we’re just so honored that she chose to donate this to us of all places," said Grace Tursi, marketing communications coordinator at the Veterans Outreach Center.

The VOC Harley raffle drawing will be held Nov. 11 on Veterans Day. Tickets will be on sale until all 200 are sold. To buy a Harley raffle ticket head to vocroc.org/myride.
