Flower City Food Tours is kicking off another season of chef-selected entrées, desserts and craft cocktails.

The food tours are a walking culinary adventure with tours happening in Pittsford, on Park Avenue and an evening tour in downtown Rochester.

What You Need To Know

  • Flower City Food Tours is a scenic walk with short distances between tasting stops

  • Architectural, historical and cultural points of interest are highlighted between each stop on the walking food tours

  • You can sample the favorite foods of Pittsford, downtown Rochester and Park Avenue

“It is a walking food tour meaning you walk between each of our tasting stops,” said Cheri Davenport, founder of Flower City Food Tours.

Cheri Davenport is all about sharing a unique eating experience that’ll take you to some of Rochester’s favorite spots. She loves helping people discover new places.

“Frequently people ask ‘What are we going to do tonight, I don’t know,’ so the great thing about this is we have taken the ‘I don’t know’ out of the equation," said Davenport.

The new downtown tour is three hours at three different restaurants. You’ll go to Max of Eastman Place, Native and Tournedos at the Inn on Broadway that’s famous for its dry-aged steaks. The food tours are a great way to visit and taste something from all of them.

“The entire tasting experience distance-wise is under one mile, so it is very easy,” Davenport said. “It’s after work and after play and after hours. I can’t say it better than that.”

It’s fun, delicious and a chance to get out and around downtown, Park Avenue and Pittsford. Flower City Food Tours are scheduled every week now through October.

The Downtown After Hours Tasting Experience is Tuesday and Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.  Walking food tours on Park Avenue are scheduled every Sunday and Wednesday Get a taste of Pittsford every Thursday. Flower City Food Tour tickets must be purchased in advance online at FlowerCityFoodTours.com.
