HENRIETTA, N.Y. — This is the weekend to go antiquing as dozens of the best collectors and sellers around are planning on making some deals.

The Genesee Country Antique Dealers Association is the best of the best when it comes to antique collectors. This is the first time the show and sale is happening at Minett Hall at the ROC Dome in Henrietta.

Antique dealers and buyers love this show to find those one-of-a-kind and original pieces that were more than likely handmade around here.

"These two pieces of Redware had been done in the 19th century by Alvin Wilcox and he was from West Bloomfield, New York. So they are very, very local," said Ralph Ridolfino from American Antiques.

The Genesee Country Antique Dealers Association puts on what is known as Western New York’s premier show and sale. It's Christina Champion's first time as show chair.

"There is going to a lot of stuff from Rochester here, a lot of stuff from Buffalo and local areas because people will bring because they know people from the area will be here,” said Champion. “We are very proud because we have dealers who are on a waiting list to get in.”

More than 60 dealers from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New England will be selling some super cool pieces this weekend.

The Genesee Country Antique Dealers Association is a nonprofit that will celebrate its 75 year anniversary next year. The fall Antique Show and Sale is Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
