WEBSTER, N.Y. — Members of the Webster Quilt Guild have been busy batting and binding fabrics of all colors, designs and styles for the Quilt Show later this month. “Wee Quilts” will be for sale to support the guild's community outreach projects.

"Each one is so different," said Jen Ulrich, Webster Quilt Guild. "There are different fabrics and different styles. Quilters are very generous people and they love to play with their fabrics."

What You Need To Know

  • The Webster Quilt Show is Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 at Holy Trinity Church in Webster

  • Each quilt sold will help the guild continue making quilts and donating them to new moms, seniors in the community, children in crisis, veterans and cancer patients

  • The mission of the guild is to share quilt making experiences, encourage friendships, promote the history, art and skill of quilt making and support community services

Ulrich is so proud of all the work that went into the mini-quilts that measure just 10" x 10". The little quilts have been on display the last month at the Webster Library and will soon be for sale at the upcoming Quilt Show.

Each $10 Wee Quilt sold will help the guild buy more quilting fabric and supplies to continue making quilts and donating them to new moms, seniors in the community, children in crisis, veterans and cancer patients. Ulrich is a breast cancer survivor. She knows the comfort handmade quilt provides.

"For me, it’s made quilting so much fun," said Ulrich. "I love to do it and I love to give back and I like to say on my quilts that there is a hug in every stitch."

The Webster Quilt Show is Saturday April 23 and Sunday April 24 at Holy Trinity Church located at 1460 Ridge Rd. in Webster.
