ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Thursday was move-in day at the University of Rochester.
Dean of Admission Robert Alexander says this is the largest incoming class in the university’s history, with students coming from more than 50 countries around the world.
“I think many of these students come from high schools where they finished completely virtual, so it’s going to be a readjustment, but they are really excited about this return to learning in all of the ways we can in the classroom and outside of the classroom,” Alexander says.
U of R is requiring students on campus to be vaccinated and Alexander says there has been very little pushback to that police. He says more than 90% of the incoming students are vaccinated.
