ROCHESTER, N.Y. — ​Expanded visitations at some area hospitals will begin starting next week.

Rochester Regional Health and the University of Rochester Medical Center announced that on Monday, patients will be allowed two visitors per day for up to four hours each.

However, only one visitor is allowed at a time due to social distancing concerns.

At Noyes Health and St. James Hospital, patients are allowed have two visitors at a time. All visitors will be required to be screened before entering the facilities.

Pediatrics will now allow two support people together 24/7.

Visitation is still not allowed for patients in the emergency department, COVID-19 positive patients, and those awaiting COVID test results.
