ROCHESTER, N.Y. — ​Rochester police have announced an arrest in a homicide from last year.

They say Jonathan Spinks, 28, is charged in the shooting death of 18-year-old Lysaun Curry.

Curry was found shot multiple times at an address on Trenaman Street on October 2, 2020. He was pronounced dead the scene. According to police, an investigation found that Spinks and Curry knew each other.

Spinks faces charges of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to authorities. He has been in Monroe County Jail since October 13, 2020 on charges stemming from a separate incident.
