A total of 58 additional child sexual abuse complaints have been filed against the Catholic Diocese of Rochester. Among those new complaints, 34 different perpetrators were named by the victims.

Lawyers for the victims say they now have filed 90 lawsuits against the diocese under the New York Child Victims Act. Lawyers also say that any other victims that haven't filed a complaint in court, but still want to, should do so by August 13 in order to preserve their legal rights.

The diocese responded to the additional complaints by saying, "out of respect for the court process and the claimants, the diocese will decline comment."

The diocese filed for bankruptcy back in 2019.
