Rochester police have announced that the I-490 has been fully reopened after a group of protesters shut down a section of the Interstate on Sunday. Police add that no arrests were made.

The "Shut it Down" event, organized by the group Save Rochester - Black Lives Matter, gathered in honor of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and the countless black and brown lives lost across the county.

After gathering at MLK Park in downtown, protesters walked south on Plymouth headed towards Exchange.

Protesters eventually made their way on I-490 East under the Plymouth exit. New York State Police and Rochester police closed 490 access at Plymouth Avenue, Byron Street, Howell Street, and South Avenue.
