Rochester police have made an arrest following a deadly stabbing on the city's north side.

Jonathan Pagan-Ortiz, 22, of Rochester, is charged with second-degree murder. He was arrested on Monday.

Police say the victim, Michael Smith, 29, was found lying on the ground in the area of Mitchell Street and Barberry Terrace on Friday just before 9:30 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pagan-Ortiz is being arraigned in Rochester City Court on Tuesday.
