You can escape the record, early winter cold by going deep sea diving or blasting off to outer space with some help from virtual reality.

VeRacity VRcade at Park Point in Henrietta has six bays with access to more than 30 different games and experiences.

Isai Pochtar opened the business two years ago.

"In the simplest form, it's a generated environment to make you believe you are somewhere else,” he said. “We will take you to that tropical island or put you on a rollercoaster. You name it and we pretty much can do it nowadays. The technology has finally caught up to it so we are capable of doing it."

VeRacity works with local organizations to share virtual reality technology with people of all ages and capabilities including children with sensory challenges and autism.

"We have those kids who come in and you put them into these experiences and they literally disassociate themselves with being in a wheelchair,” Pochtar added. “They don’t feel they’re in that chair and [instead] feel the experience like everyone else that doesn't have that challenge."

VeRacity is open Tuesday to Sunday. Prices start at $15.
