The Rochester Red Wings are making light of some negative comments about Rochester in a New York Post article by dedicating a game to the writer of the column.

New York Post writer Maureen Callahan wrote an article about the new Wegmans that opened in Brooklyn last week. When noting where the store originated, she said it did not originate from, "hipster Upstate New York, not Rhinebeck or Kingston, but grim and depressing Rochester.”

To return the favor, the Red Wings are inviting Callahan and the entire New York Post team to their August 21, 2020 Friday game. The team is calling it "Maureen Callahan Night."

Tickets are now on sale for the August game. T-shirts will go on sale next week.
