Jim Walker says he gets the question from time to time; the one about the secret to a long life.

"If I knew, I'd write a book and make a million bucks,” laughed Walker.

The resident of Fieldstone Estates in Greece was born October 28, 1915. This past weekend, friends and family gathered to help him celebrate his 104th birthday.

“I've had a long life, a good life,” said Walker. “…a happy life."

Part of his happy life included golf, a game he used to share with his wife of 55 years, before she passed away. Jim says he shot two holes-in-one, but he no longer plays. Walker just stopped driving last year at age 103. He served in the Army during WWII, joining at age 30.

“I just wish there was a way to get some of these young guys into the military,” he said. “It would do them so much good and we would have a better country for it.”

Walker still lives on his own and says he’s thankful for close friends and family who help take care of him. With his iPhone 7, he texts his daughters and neighbors every morning, to let them know he’s okay.
