Support for Rochester Police Officer Denny Wright continues to pour in.

Officers at the Rochester Police Department's Union, the Locust Club, are organizing fundraising efforts for Officer Wright and his family.

Wright was injured in the line of duty earlier this month responding to a call. He continues his recovery after suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The union states that Officer Wright’s fellow officers are selling the t-shirts to raise money, with 100 percent of it going to the Wright family.

“He is an amazing person and he has a strong spirit. He's got a strong support family around him, as well as his brothers and sisters, and he’s doing good,” Locust Club President Michael Mazzeo said of Wright’s recovery.

Mazzeo was with Officer Wright a few nights ago. He says his friend and colleague is doing well, but has long recovery ahead.

Rochester Police Officers are wearing bracelets as a small token of respect to their recovering colleague.

The t-shirts can be purchased here.
