The male who suffered serious injuries after falling through the roof of a school in Penfield has been identified by authorities.
William Laing, 18 from Penfield, fell through the skylight at Bay Trail Middle School in August.
Laing is a 2019 graduate from Penfield High School.
“We continue to respect the critical nature of the situation and remain sensitive to the families involved, giving them time to process this tragic event,” read a statement from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains open and ongoing.
