The teen who pleaded guilty to his role in the threat against an Islamic Community has been sentenced.
Nicholas Pheilshifter was sentenced for criminal possession of a weapon as a crime of terrorism, and will spend seven years in prison plus five years post release supervision.
Pheilshifter will be sent to the Office of Children and Family Services until he is 18 years old and will then be transferred to a state prison.
His case was handled in Youth Part court because of his age at the time of the plot, per New York's "Raise the Age" law.
Pheilshifter was 16 years old when he and three other men plotted to set off explosives at the downstate community of Islamberg. Two others have already been sentenced.
