A Rochester woman has died after her car rolled into a pond in the Adirondacks on Saturday.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Dorothy Stoss and her husband Frederick pulled over to take pictures along Route 30.

Frederick went to grab a camera from the back of the car when it started to roll down an embankment. He got back into the car to try and stop it, but was thrown out when the car hit a log.

The car went into the water with Dorothy still inside the car.

A witness was able to get her out of the car. First responders tried saving her, but she was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
