A former Texas police officer will spend up to three years in prison for his role in a double homicide last fall.
Bron Bohlar pleaded guilty to conspiracy for his role in the deaths of Amber Washburn and Joshua Niles outside their Sodus home last fall. Prosecutors said Bohlar rented a car for fellow police officer Timothy Dean.
He used that car to drive to New York and shoot the couple.
Thursday morning, Bohlar was sentenced to one to three years in prison.
When sentencing Bohlar, Judge Daniel Barrett expressed regret about the arrangement, saying he wished he could redo the case and not allow for the plea deal.
Dean was convicted last month for the murders. His wife, Charlene Childers, who had children with Niles, pleaded guilty in connection to the case.
