A man is charged with murder after deputies found a person dead in an Ogden home.

Quinton A O'Connor, 35, is charged with second-degree murder.

The victim has been identified as Timothy O'Neil, 35, of Ogden.

Ogden police said they found O'Neil's body with multiple gunshot wounds in a bedroom of a Forest Meadow Trail home, in which he, O'Connor, and another person lived.

Neighbors in the area said they heard gunshots early Sunday morning.

Police said a gun was found in the home.

“We have spoken to the victim's family," said Ogden Police Chief Cristopher Mears. "As we said, we are making some notifications. Our heart goes out to these families. This was pretty senseless and tragic for what we can tell. Of course any death of this type is a tragedy, but this is rather senseless and our heart goes out to those folks.”

O'Connor is being held without bail in the Monroe County Jail.

They do say additional charges may be a possibility.

"It's very unusal for this area," Mears said. "That neighborhood in particular is usually very quiet. We don't have a lot of problems there."
