Two Rochester City School District leaders are leaving to take on roles at University Prep.

Walter Larkin Jr. will become the school's CEO, replacing school founder Joe Munno, who was forced out last year. Controversy arose after Munno prevented the school's valedictorian from giving a speech at the graduation ceremony.

Edison Tech Assistant Principal Jacob Scott will become interim principal for the rest of the year. The district says the open position will be posted, and interviews with internal and external stakeholders will be held.

Integrated Arts and Technology High Principal Kevin Klein is also joining U-Prep's leadership staff. He will become the school's chief academic officer and executive principal.

Klein will leave his current post at the end of June.
