The owners of a more than 100-year-old Livingston County homestead are restoring the historic Wells Barn on the property.
Oak Knolls Manor in Caledonia is now taking event reservations for its rustic, 4,000 square-foot renovated historic barn.
It has 35-foot arched cathedral ceilings and will soon have a new deck to enjoy the view of the Genesee Valley. It was originally built in the early 1900s by J.T. Wells and Sons.
"We really fell in love with the place when we first saw it and we just knew it was a space that needed to be shared," Julie Welch, owner, said. "We didn't want it to just sit and be used for storage. The views of the Genesee Valley and the five acres just create an atmosphere that is so relaxing and it just needs to be shared."
The first event at Oak Knolls Manor will be the Avon Rotary Blue Jean Ball, which is a fundraiser for Stone's Closet, in May.
It's located State Route 5 between Avon and Caledonia.
