ROCHESTER, N.Y. — This is the time of year, many high school seniors reflect, start enjoying the last moments with their friends and get ready for the next big step in their lives. For some, that separation from friends and family might be a little bigger than most.

Some East High School twins with a special connection are doing just that.

Ella French and brother, Ciaran, have a lot in common with Nayshaun and Dayshaun Clark.

“When I’m away from Nay, people are like 'where’s he at? What’s he doing?'" said Dayshaun.

All of them are East High School seniors.

One of these sets of twins is more obvious than the other.

All four of them have grown up together.

“We have baby pictures dressing the same, same hairstyle, all that,” said one of the Clark brothers.

The Clarks both play on the lacrosse team. Both have been accepted at Hampton University. Both are still deciding where they want to study and play.

There’s an automatic connection.

“If I see him down the field, I already know that he will look up the field, look for me," said Nayshaun. "'Hey get the ball to me.'”

Ciaran used to play lacrosse with them. Ella is on the East High softball team. She’s the class salutatorian. She’s going to the University of Rochester and wants to be a teacher.

For two sets of twins, who have attended the same schools since kindergarten, going their separate ways is going to be weird.

It’s going to be different because we’re so used to having each other every day,” Ella said.

“People can’t imagine one without the other," said Dayshaun. "If they see me by myself, they’re like 'yo, where’s your brother at?'”

For now, the French twins and the Clark twins are focused on enjoying what’s left of their senior year and making more memories. Even if they’re apart, they’ll always have a connection.

“Like I always know I have them," said Ella.
