Charlie Riedel, who died Sunday at the age of 92, has served up thousands of French fries, burgers, and hots over the years, and his restaurants grew to become neighborhood favorites for many. 

Riedel opened his first restaurant in 1969. Charlie's Restaurant now has locations in Ontario, Webster, and Canandaigua.

Riedel's family says it will celebrate his life privately.
