One of Rochester’s last festivals of the summer, the MAG's M&T Clothesline Festival is happening virtually all this week. You can still browse and buy art directly from the artists of Clothesline.

Artist Vicki Bellis-Brouk designs one-of-a-kind block print clothing. She's one of the dozens of artists who are part of the 2020 Virtual Clothesline Festival.

"Every single one is done by hand so it’s not done by machine. So you are going to find differences in every piece that I do," said Bellis-Brouk.

She was scheduled to be at 17 festivals this summer selling her block printed clothing. All of them were canceled. She's hoping to connect with customers through the virtual Clothesline Festival and on her Facebook page Vicki‘s Block Print Clothing.

"What I miss this year is meeting my clientele out in public. I would take things out and people would say, 'oh I really like that one I really just love the design.' Then I would come home and I would make more of them but that ever happened this year. So it's been a bit lonely," she said.

The Clothesline Festival is the largest fundraiser for the Memorial Art Gallery. It's been a Rochester tradition for 60 years. The virtual event continues through Friday.
