East Rochester boys soccer had a great season in 2019 but until a couple of weeks ago, 2020 was still a mystery.

New York State schools were told they were allowed to start low-risk sports on September 21st, as long as the leagues and individual schools approved and for the Bombers, that means four sports could start, including the boys soccer team.

High risk sports; football, volleyball and competitive cheerleading have been pushed back to March so for Wayne County teams such as East Rochester, football players are among the athletes with a rare opportunity to play four sports in one school year.

Sophomore Manny Sepulveda is taking advantage, a punter and wide receiver for the ER/Gananda football squad, his big leg and good hands are perfect for playing keeper on the soccer pitch and his first sport is basketball.

The key for the Bombers and all the fall sports is to stay COVID-free and get their five weeks of soccer in, for the Bombers, that starts October 3rd against North Rose-Wolcott.
