Bishop Kearney rising senior Marianna Freeman committed on Thursday to Niagara University.
The guard has been on varisty since seventh grade and won a Sectional title every year. She averaged 14 points per game for the Kings this season and Class AA Tournament MVP honors this season.
She hoped to play AAU this season and may still get a chance to play a couple of games before the end of the summer but chances to be seen by college coaches this summer have evaporated due to the COVID pandemic.
"It's close to home, so if I wanna see some friends or if any of my friends wanna come to my game, they can do so and it's in a competitive conference, too," Freeman said about Niagara.
Temmate Saniaa Wilson committed to Seton Hall in early June and Dansville senior center Arayana Young also committed to Niagara.
