Canandaigua dominated in the trenches on their way to a 24-6 victory over South Park in the Class A Far West Regional.

Two early touchdown passes by Bryan Boldrin staked the Braves to a 14-0 halftime lead. The Sparks have a high-powered offense that never got going as Canandaigua held the shutout until the fourth quarter.

The Braves chewed up the clock as the running back combination of Dom Comella, Jack Benner and Zack Wantuck led Canandaigua to 10 more points.

With the victory, Canandaigua faces Carthage of Section 3 in the New York State Western semfinals at Cicero-North Syracuse High School next Friday.

In the Class D Far West Regional, Clymer-Sherman-Panama defeated Notre Dame, 47-14.
