Gavin Hall battled injuries for most of the last year and his golf career got off track.

The former Pittsford Mendon and University of Texas star got healthy with strong winter training and got the perfect roommate in getting back into golf shape. Hall lives with PGA Tour pro Dominic Bozzelli in Florida and the two have been helping each other along.

Hall is playing on the GPro Tour, a mini-tour through the Carolinas specifically meant to help players tune their games up for Q-School. He won his first two events and finished fourth in his third event and is the leading money winner on the tour.

He is currently playing in the Kannapolis Open outside Charlotte and sits in seventh place heading into the final round on Thursday.

Hall said, "This whole year is just about playing, because last year, I was hurt for nine months and just the opportunity to play, three-four round events is huge and I've got a good schedule this summer, working hard. Had a great winter and just excited to compete."

Bozzelli is playing in the PGA's John Deere Classic this week and is currently 143rd in the FedEx Cup Standings. Despite losing his full-time exemption, the former McQuaid and Auburn star has still played in 20 events this season.
