Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren has announced a series of drive-in movies that will take place at Frontier Field starting on June 25.
The ROC’N Drive-In will be hosted at the VIP Parking Lot, where the city, the Red Wings, MVP Health Care and The Cinema Theater will build a temporary drive-in. Movies will be shown on a 44-foot, high-definition LED screen over four weekends, with a double feature every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.

“I could not be more excited to offer our community a way to get together while staying safe,” said Warren. “Creating a drive-in theater in the heart of our city has been so much fun and with partners like the Rochester Red Wings, MVP Health Care and The Cinema, this event will provide an experience like no other. With an earlier start than traditional drive-ins, we hope to attract families and provide a once-in-lifetime summer experience downtown."
The early film will begin at 6:30 p.m., allowing for a family-friendly atmosphere. Thursday nights are "date nights" for mature audiences, while movies for all-ages will be shown Friday and Saturday.
Tickets are priced at $25 per car. Patrons may sit either inside their vehicle or in an empty parking spot next to it.
