RED CREEK, N.Y. — The Red Creek Central School District is delaying the start of classes until next Monday, saying that the first few weeks of school need to be held remotely.

This comes after the district said three staff members tested positive for COVID-19, resulting in a number of staff being quarantined, and impacting the ability to bus kids to school.

Beginning next Monday, classes will be virtual until Friday, October 1. The district is planning for in-person instruction to start Monday, October 4.

The district is offering Chromebooks to be picked up this Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
