ROCHESTER, N.Y. — SUNY Brockport has found its next chief diversity officer.
The college hired Damita Davis after a nationwide search.
Davis starts on the job July 1 after spending seven years with Boston College's office for institutional diversity.
This comes after Dr. Cephas Archie was dismissed from that job last year, which sparked protests and raised racial tension on campus.
He's now the chief equity officer for the city of Rochester.
