GREECE, N.Y. — Rochester police say a teenager is dead after a shooting on the city's northwest side.

The department says Greece police officers were called to Falmouth Street in Greece around 1 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a male shot. When they arrived, they say they found Keon Martin, 16, of Rochester in a car with at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.

Martin was taken to URMC by ambulance where police say he later died.

Rochester police say their investigation has revealed Martin was shot while sitting in a car at the corner of Lexington Avenue and Lark Street. After the shooting, a second person in the car drove to Falmouth Street where 911 was called.

Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the shooting.
