SODUS, N.Y. — The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating a homicide in the village of Sodus.

Officers responded to a home on Orchard Terrace shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday. After speaking with Jesse Zeck, 79, they located his wife Sandra, 75, dead in the garage. Police say she had suffered significant head trauma. Sandra was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.

The sheriff's office says there is no history of law enforcement being called to the address.

Jesse Zeck is charged with second-degree murder, according to police. They say he was arraigned on the charge and is currently being held without bail.
