ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police have released the name of a man shot to death on Lyell Avenue on Monday.

Officers responded to the area around 10:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they say they were flagged down by a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.

According to investigators, Tyshawn McConniughey, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene after being found in a car in a nearby parking lot.

A short time later, police say two men turned up at area hospitals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police are still working to determine whether the victims are all connected to the same incident on Lyell Avenue.
