IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — At-home COVID-19 test kits are being distributed in the town of Irondequoit this week.
The East Irondequoit School District is handing out the kits to families at two of its schools Tuesday afternoon.
The kits were distributed at Laurelton-Pardee Intermediate School and Eastridge High School.
The district says it has seen a substantial rise in COVID-19 cases after Thanksgiving break.
Rapid at-home COVID test kits will also be available on Wednesday.
A drive-through distribution event will take place from 5 - 8 p.m., or until kits run out, at the Irondequoit Department of Public Works on Eastridge Road.
Proof of residency is required for that event.
