Livingston County says it will not enforce state's new mask mandate

Leaders in Livingston County say they will not be enforcing New York state's new indoor mask mandate that took effect on Monday.
The county's board of supervisors says the mandate is "unenforceable."
County officials call the mandate a swift change of position of the governor. They say that any mandate should come with oversight and resources from the state.
Instead, the county says it will focus on expanded testing, vaccine advocacy and other public health messaging.
