ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Museum and Science Center has implemented a mask mandate for all guests, regardless of their vaccination status.

Beginning on Saturday, August 21, everyone will be required to wear a mask when visiting the museum, Strasenburgh Planetarium and Cumming Nature Center in Naples. The RMSC says the decision was made based on recent data on the increase of COVID-19 cases in Monroe and Ontario counties.

"The science is clear that mask wearing is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19," said Hillary Olson, president & CEO of the RMSC. "By reintroducing a mask requirement for all visitors, everyone can continue to have a safe, fun and engaging experience at the museum, planetarium, and nature center."
