This week marks one year since the first COVID-19 case was detected here in Monroe County.

New York State says progress is being made in the fight against the virus.

According the state's vaccine tracker, almost 149,000 people, 20% of Monroe County residents, have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Around 80,000 are fully vaccinated.

The Johnson & Johnson single-shot vaccine arrived in New York last week.

Two state mass vaccination clinics continue to run at the Dome Arena and the former Kodak Hawkeye Plant.
