Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Friday that gyms, salons, and businesses in orange zones, like those in the Rochester area, will be allowed to reopen at 25% capacity with weekly testing.

Right now, the orange zone includes the majority of the city of Rochester as well as parts of Brighton, Greece, Gates, Irondequoit, and small parts of Pittsford, Henrietta, and Penfield.

The governor also confirmed 74% of new COVID-19 cases are spreading from private household gatherings.

"I get it, but we can't relax. Because COVID's not relaxing," said Cuomo.

Indoor dining in New York City will be shut down on Monday. That's when the governor will provide an update, using weekend COVID-19 data, on whether any new restrictions for the state will be implemented.
