Once folks got their cars inside the Greece Department of Public Works building, it was drive-through service - with a smile.

But getting there took a little bit longer.

"We’re still having some backups, but the reality is we’re moving them through as fast as we can,” Reilich said.

One thing the pandemic has taught — is patience.

"For them to wait as much as an hour to get the face mask tells you they really want them,” Reilich said.

The town of Greece secured hundreds of thousands of masks, both from the Monroe County stockpile and from private donations.

After 20,000 cars passed through here over the weekend, thousands more did so again Wednesday.

"We have the largest town with over 100,00 people in it," Reilich added. "Trying to provide this service, you gear up for those kinds of numbers.”

In uncertain times, safety is worth waiting for.

"It shows they are certainly honoring the fact of wearing a face mask, and there is a need out there," Reilich said.
