A Perry company has begun producing thousands of face shields to assist those who have an increased risk from COVID-19.
JN White Associates recently launched the "Splatterguard" to serve as a supplement for the N-95 masks.
"It prevents the spray from hitting the nose, eyes or mouth of the first responders," said Jason Aymerich, president of JN White Associates. "We have Splatterguard.com that went live over the weekend and we're receiving tons and tons of orders."
Jaylen Grawe makes thousands of these face shields a day.
"I cycle the press and the dye which is a steel rule will cut the shape of the masks and we produce them that way and the masks will assemble themselves after," Grawe explained.
Grawe says he recognizes the importance of his work
"We work at a small company within wyoming county and really we are just a small dot on the map but knowing that we are able to step up and make a difference for larger hospitals and to have it made in Wyoming County is a great pleasure," said Grawe.
Aymerich adds that he is proud of all of his staff stepping up in this pandemic.
"We've been called to action and we're not on the front lines of a war, but in some instances we are channeling JN and his support for the nation as we produce these products. It's a great opportunity to give back to the country that's given so much to us," said Aymerich.
